The use of dynamic electrical neurostimulation and therapeutic corrective gymnastics in medical rehabilitation programs for children with scoliosis

AIM: scientific substantiation of the complex use of dynamic electrical neurostimulation and therapeutic corrective gymnastics with elements of Katharina Schroth in the medical rehabilitation of children with scoliosis.Materials and methods. A randomized prospective study of 60 children with grade II and III scoliosis aged 5-18 years (36.7% boys and 63.3% girls) was conducted. All patients were randomized into 3 equal groups. The study showed that only in patients of the main group with scoliosis of the second degree, who received the complex effect of DENS and PSSE with elements of K. Schroth, the fatigue of the back muscles decreased and the intensity of dorsalgia decreased under static and dynamic loads, compared with children who received DENS and pulmonary hypertension separately (p <0,05). Conclusion. The results of the study demonstrated the possibility of using DENS separately and in complex with therapeutic exercise with elements of Katharina Schroth in children with scoliosis.
