Introduction. Correction of ecchymoses remains an urgent task in dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Persistent skin discoloration caused by the breakdown of hemoglobin (oxyhemoglobin → deoxyhemoglobin → methemoglobin → biliverdin → bilirubin → hemosiderin) causes psychological discomfort in patients and increases the duration of rehabilitation after injuries, operations or invasive procedures. The insufficient effectiveness of traditional methods (topical applications of heparin-containing drugs, cold/heat) actualizes the search for physical technologies to accelerate hemorrhage resorption.
