Background. Professional burnout (BP) is caused by chronic work-related stress, which leads to negative consequences for a person's physical and mental health. The most vulnerable professional group to developing BP is medical personnel, whose work is associated with high levels of stress. The most promising approach to solving this problem is the use of non-drug technologies, and in particular, binaural therapy, which has a positive effect on brain function, improving its functional activity.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of a binaural-based therapy course in correcting the clinical, functional, and psychological manifestations of burnout syndrome in healthcare professionals.

Materials and Methods: A prospective, controlled, comparative, and randomized study was conducted involving 80 healthcare professionals diagnosed with burnout syndrome. Basic therapy (BT), administered to all patients, included a course of physical exercise and psychological intervention. Using simple fixed randomization, all patients were divided into two groups. The first group (control, n=40) received BT only. Patients in the second group (main group, n=40) received, in addition to BT, a course of binaural-based therapy using the PRAK AVK in alpha and theta modes. The effectiveness of correcting burnout manifestations was assessed based on changes in the MBI questionnaire, the Spielberger-Hanin test, and heart rate variability.
