Abstract
A total of 85 patients at the age from 36 to 77 years presenting with chronic pancreatitis were available for the examination. In all of them, conservative therapy was supplemented by a course laser therapy (10 sessions of irradiation at a wavelength of 0.63 mcm and power flux density 0.15-0.3 mW/cm A2 for 2-3 minutes daily). An immunoassay was used to determine the plasma level and activity of tissue plasminogen activator and concentration of its inhibitor. It was shown that both the sum of activated forms of platelets and the number of platelets undergoing aggregation (relative percent of aggregation being 72.4 ± 2.3%) increased in the examined patients which may suggest initiation of intravascular activation of platelets.
