The paper summarizes data on physico-chemical, physiological, metabolic, and immune effects of hydrogen sulphide baths (HSB) and their use in medical practice. Special attention is given to the methods of HSB application, indications and contraindications for HSB treatment.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В статье изложены современные представления об участии сероводорода в физиологических процессах в организме. В ней обобщены данные о физико-химическом, физиологическом, метаболическом и иммунорегулирующем действии сероводородных вод (СВВ) и их лечебном применении.
