IX International Congress “Balneotherapy in Health Resort Treatment Programs and Medical Rehabilitation”

We inform you that on March 19-20, 2026 in Moscow the IX International Congress “Balneotherapy in Health Resort Treatment Programs and Medical Rehabilitation” will be held, timed to coincide with World Water Day.

Venue: Leningradsky Prospect, 31A, building 1, MonArch Moscow Hotel, Moscow.

The aim of the Congress is to promote the key role of natural water resources and scientific-practical application of balneotherapy methods in the development of health tourism.

Participation in this event contributes to professional development, formation of a comprehensive vision for industry growth, and integration of new research findings into practical medicine and health resort treatment. For medical professionals and researchers, the Congress provides a unique opportunity to exchange best practices, discuss current scientific data and practical recommendations, enhance professional competencies, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Congress will serve as an open international platform for discussing important issues relevant to all stakeholders: government authorities, international partners, academic institutions, healthcare providers, spa-resort operators, tourist organizations, and commercial entities specializing in medical and rehabilitation equipment. Experts from near and far abroad will share their experience at the event.

The program includes sections dedicated to technologies based on the use of natural therapeutic resources for tourism development, organization of sanatorium-resort treatments, modern approaches to the utilization of drinking mineral waters. Within the framework of the program, there will be a meeting of the Ministry of Health Commission on Spa Affairs where requirements and criteria for determining boundaries of sanitary protection zones will be discussed. A plenary session will also take place focusing on water resources as a key driver of territorial and economic regional development. In cooperation with the Institute for Development of Creative Industries of the Faculty of Creative Industries at HSE University, a section devoted to marketing and promotion of balneological and sanatorium-resort organizations will be conducted. Special attention will be given to international experience and innovative technologies related to the use of water resources.

Participants of the Congress will hear presentations by representatives of legislative and executive bodies of the Russian Federation, leading specialists in medical rehabilitation and sanatorium-resort treatment, representatives of specialized universities and professional associations who will share cutting-edge knowledge and up-to-date information. The Congress will feature a specialized exhibition showcasing manufacturers of mineral water, sanatorium-resort services, medical and cosmetic products, water purification equipment, as well as artifacts from the laboratory for examination and testing of natural therapeutic resources of FGБУ "NMIC RK" under the Ministry of Health of Russia.

An accreditation application will be submitted for continuous medical education credits for participants.
